Instruction for Authors

Thank you for choosing to submit your manuscript to Instructional Media for Mathematics (IM-Math) journal. This ‘instruction for authors’ is provided to ensure your manuscript fulfil the requirement for peer review and publication in IM-Math journal. Please take the time to read and follow the instruction as closely as possible.

 

Preparing Your Manuscript

Structure of the manuscript

Your manuscript should be compiled in the following structure:

  1. The title of the paper should: be clear, not contain non-familiar acronym or abbreviation, and no more than 16 words.
  2. Author's names and affiliations. The author's names should be accompanied by the author's affiliations and location. The email address of the corresponding author should be written.
  3. The abstract is up to 200 words and does not contain any citation.
  4. Section structure. The manuscript should be written in the following order:
  5. This section explains the background of the study, the theoretical framework, and objectives of the study.
  6. This section describes the processes which were carried out to collect and analyze data.
  7. Results and Discussion. This section explains the results of the study. Authors should elaborate their results and connect them to relevant previous studies.
  8. This section highlights the answer(s) to the research question(s). Implications and limitation of the study should be described logically based on the findings of the study.
  9. Acknowledgment (optional). Authors are allowed to mention other parties that support and contribute to their study.
  10. This section lists only the literature that is cited in the body of the manuscript.
  11. Appendix (optional). Authors are allowed to attach relevant material.

Word Limits

Please be advised that the word limits for manuscripts in this journal is minimum 4.000 words and maximum 8.000 words.

Style Guidelines

  1. The manuscript must be written in English. Authors may use either American English or British English, but they must use the language style consistently throughout the manuscript.
  2. Please refer to APA (American Psychological Association) guideline to prepare your manuscript including the citation style, for which authors may use in-text and parenthetical citations.
  3. For formatting and templates, the submitted manuscript must strictly follow the template of IM-Math journal that can be downloaded in this link.
  4. Please submit your manuscript in Word format. Please do not submit your manuscript as a PDF file.
  5. Please follow APA Guideline for the reference style. For reference management, we suggest authors use tool such as Mendeley or EndNote to ensure the citations and references are written consistently.
